Our final story comes to us from Gauge

So I started experiencing acne around high school and so I tried a couple face washes. then in my freshman year of college, I started Accutane. however, multiple tries none of it seemed to ever work. I had some pretty negative side effects from Accutane so I had to stop it. once I started graduate school, I heard about acne Boot Camp. at that time, my face had started to break out very badly and I had very painful pimples and a lot of redness on my face. I decided to take a chance on acne Boot Camp because it seemed like the solution I was looking for.

I was pretty optimistic to start acne Boot Camp I knew this was going to be a more holistic route And I was very excited to try that out. my aesthetician Emma was super helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable.
it really improved my Boot Camp experience . I felt like she was always there to support if I had something going wrong for example if my face was too dry…She always knew the solution or how remedy the issue.

I feel a lot more confident now that I have clear skin and especially before with my acne I was very self conscious about it I feel so much happier Having my photo taken, taking pictures in general , and it’s just been overall a great experience. It’s wonderful having a face that’s not red, but especially not painful.

“My beauty journey started very young. Around age 8, I began experimenting with cosmetics and wearing complexion products to even out my skin. When I turned 13, the acne really started, and I tried all the popular drugstore products with no results. At 18, I started working for Sephora and earned my cosmetology license, where I began learning about skin and ingredients. Brands constantly provided me with new products and routines promising to fix my cystic acne, but shockingly, none worked, if anything, they amplified the problem.

I met my dermatologist while doing her makeup, and she prescribed medications that finally cleared my skin. However, the medications had severe warning labels about pregnancy and side effects. I also underwent expensive lasers and chemical peels, yet the acne kept returning. After a decade at Sephora, I worked for big-name brands in the beauty industry, training thousands of people, but it all felt inauthentic.
